As we all await Broccoli City Fest 2017, it's only right that we visually relive some epic moments from this year's eco-friendly music festival held in the nation's capital. The annual music fest/open air market/health and wellness expo founded by Brandon McEachern, Marcus Allen, Darryl Perkins and Jermon Williams aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles in underserved communities proved on April 30. that their mission is still alive and thriving.

Over 10,000 attendees from all across the East Coast thugged out the dreary #Views weekend weather for the festivals biggest musical line up to date.

Keeping up the tradition of highlighting dope rising talent, this year's festival line up included afternoon sets from BJ The Chicago Kid, Sango (who surprised the crowd with guest appearances by GoldLink + SPZRKT), and Anderson.Paak who recently announced the upcoming tour for his highly acclaimed project Malibu. The evening sets included melodic vibes by Grammy nominated artists The Internet and Jhene Aiko, ending with an unforgettable headline performance by the trap gawd himself, Future --who definitely made us feel like we all won Grammys that night while dabbing in the rain.

And while many faithful attendees like myself questioned whether the spirit of the festival would be whitewashed by corporate sponsors, the essence of what makes Broccoli City Fest such a unique experience for the black community remained in tack, but on a much larger scale than previous years.

Whether you were looking for a unique piece of jewlery, vending for the first time in the eco-friendly open air market or graced the Trap Karaoke stage hosted by Beats1 NYC 's LowKeyUHTN , there was simply no escaping creativity, positive vibes and beautiful black people.

Only time will tell on whether Broccoli City Fest 2017 will bring in the same hype as this year, but in mean time--check out the visuals below shot by NYC based photographer Mark Clennon and mentally prepare yourself for next year because you definitely want to be in attendance for the ALL the vibes.
