Brooke Burke-Charvet's Cancer: 'Dancing With The Stars' Co-Host To Undergo Thyroid Surgery (VIDEO)

Brooke Burke-Charvet's Cancer Diagnosis

Brooke Burke-Charvet revealed today (Nov. 8) that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will undergo surgery in the coming weeks.

But don't fret. The "Dancing With The Stars" co-host, 41, says she's not sick and has "never felt better."

After undergoing multiple tests to discover if a nodule in her throat was cancerous, Burke-Charvet got her results, and they weren't what she was expecting.

"I got my results back and they were not good," she reveals in a personal video posted on the ModernMom YouTube channel. "I need to have thyroid surgery and a thyroidectomy, which means I'm going to have a nice big scar right here across my neck," she continues. "I don't get to just walk around and pretend like nothing happened or not follow up or not share it, because it's going to be pretty much dead center. I don't want anybody to read about it and get the wrong idea, or think that I'm sick, because I'm not."

Burke-Charvet, who has four children -- daughters Neriah and Sierra from a previous relationship and daughter Rain and son Shaya with her husband Dave Charvet -- is staying positive and is hopeful for her future.

"I've booked my surgery," she explains. "It's taken me a couple of months to really wrap my head around this ... Now I'm good. I'm ready to deal with it, and I'm going to be fine. I feel really, really strong. Doctors say this is a 'good' kind of cancer to have ... My doctor did tell me this is a happily ever after ending kind of thing."
