Brooklyn Best Buy Robbed Of $112K In iPads

Thieves Took 4 Minutes To Steal $100K In iPads

Four fast-moving bandits broke into a Brooklyn Best Buy early Tuesday morning and swiped over $100,000 worth of iPads, ABC News reports.

At around 4AM, the thieves broke through the front glass doors at the Gateway Plaza Best Buy in East New York, pried open a security gate and then broke into two security cages in the manager's office where the pricey Mac tablets were being stored.

The whole operation took a mere four minutes.

Detectives told The New York Daily News they suspect an inside job because some of the store's security cameras, and some in the shopping plaza that houses the store, were not working at the time.

Police are checking other cameras in the plaza to see if the thieves's getaway was caught on tape.

According to ABC, the stolen iPads have a total street value of $112,000.
