Brooklyn Decker: My Father Stopped Me From Wrecking My Body

Brooklyn Decker's bangin' body might have landed her the swimsuit cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, the title of "Best Summer Body of 2010" and various lingerie campaigns, but the model wasn't always immune to the peer pressure to be stick-thin behind the scenes at gigs. Page Six reports that Decker told Self magazine of darker times:

"I was always with other aspiring models. There were bingers and purgers, and everyone watched each other eat. It freaked me out. I did juice fasts and crazy diets and ended up gaining weight. My father did an intervention and got me to stop obsessing about everyone else and wrecking my body."

Way to go, Mr. Decker. But dad isn't the only one that Brooklyn talks about -- she once told Glamour.com the story of when she and her mother decided it was time for Brooklyn to shave her legs. Decker recalled:

I was 11 years old, and very hairy. After playing in a soccer game, my mom came up and saw my long blonde leg hairs glistening in the sun and said "okay honey, it's time." She was right there with me. We got a special fool-proof razor, and fancy shaving cream but I was only allowed to shave up to my knees!
