Brooklyn Nets Debut Commercial Celebrating Neighborhood Roots And Say 'Hello Brooklyn' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Brooklyn Nets Debut New Commercial

On the heels of unveiling a new logo designed by Jay-Z himself, the Brooklyn Nets have debuted a new commercial touting neighborhood roots and once again, insisting they are the embodiment of Brooklyn.

The commercial begins with some heavy complimenting ("Brooklyn, you're a vision") paired with vintage footage of the neighborhood, most likely to capitalize on what Nets' chief executive Brett Yormark once heralded as the no-brainer, iconic, Brooklyn brand.

The narrator continues by stressing Jay-Z and co. are just like you and me, insisting the Nets already have a few things in common with ordinary folk, most importantly being friends to the "scrappy, the loyal." That's us!

This isn't the first attempt the Nets and stadium executives have deployed in order to assure residents they're at one with neighborhood values. Earlier this year, Barclays Center announced a plan to serve up "quintessentially Brooklyn cuisine" with everything from pickles, pizza, silverware, and more.

But one thing minority owner Jay-Z and Brooklyn residents may have in common? Real estate just isn't the same! As the Brooklyn native puts it himself, "prices over there are really high."
