In a recent profile in The New Yorker, "The Boss" opened up about some of the bumps along his road to tremendous success -- as "Born to Run" and "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" were going platinum in the early 1980's, Springsteen was descending into major depression and thoughts of suicide.

Springsteen attributes much of his trouble to his relationship with his parents. His father also suffered from depression, according to The New Yorker. “My parents’ struggles, it’s the subject of my life,” Springsteen said. Find out how he was able to heal some of those wounds in the video above.
