Bryce Harper To Reporter: 'That's A Clown Question Bro' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bryce Harper 'Clowns' Reporter

Wait a minute. Bryce Harper is only 19? He is not even old enough to buy a beer in these United States? Who knew?

Okay, presumably most baseball fans -- and all media members -- have known Harper's age ever since he rose to prominence as a high school phenom. Given his prodigious talents in all phases of the game, concerns about his age and relative lack of experience have been largely put aside. But after he crushed his seventh homer of the season (listed at 438 feet) helping the Nationals top the Blue Jays in Toronto on Tuesday night, one reporter brought up his age.

Harper was asked, because 19 is the legal drinking age in most provinces of Canada, if he would have a "celebratory beer" after such a mammoth home run. He was also asked if he had a favorite beer.

After someone, reportedly Nats PR staffer, tried to shoot the question down, Harper gave a cold smirk and responded, "That's a clown question, bro."

He quickly moved on and answered other baseball questions from that point on.
