Buffalo Just Got Hit With A Wall Of Snow So Thick It Stranded Drivers In Their Cars

Yes, every single state in America was literally freezing this week, but no where has been hit with as much of a winter wake-up call as Buffalo, New York.

The friendly folks of Buffalo woke up Wednesday morning to a staggering 6 FEET of snow... with another storm expected to drop 2 to 3 more feet in the coming days. Here's what that looks like:

The snow was so thick in places, drivers were forced to camp out in their cars until emergency responders could dig them out, including an entire basketball team, the band Interpol and one man who live-Tweeted his more than 24-hour-long ordeal stranded on Interstate 90.

The lake-effect snow spurred New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to declare a state of emergency, and was responsible for at least four deaths. The snowfall is expected to at least rival Buffalo's all-time snow record of 82 inches that fell over five days in 2001.

On the plus side, there's money to be made for those looking to shovel some snow (and score a few free Buffalo Bills tickets).

Take a look at some other photos from the storm, and stay appraised with your local weather warnings here.
