Bumblebee Rescues Other Bee From Spider's Grasp (VIDEO)

Chivalry Isn't Dead (At Least For This Bumblebee)

Who knew a bumblebee could be heroic?

Now we definitely do. In this video, a bumblebee swoops in to save a fellow bee caught in a spiderweb -- just before the spider moves in on its prey.

What's best about this video is the slow-motion recap, in which we see the rescuer actively thwart the spider by stinging it.

Was this an intended rescue? We're not quite sure, but, according to Oklahoma State University, bumble bees are social creatures who often reside in large colonies -- maybe the rescue bee was just helping out its neighbor.

Either way, it's buzzworthy.
