Forget the 2016 elections. The best presidential debates can be found on social media.
On Wednesday, former president Bill Clinton tweeted this photo of himself reading "41," George W. Bush's new book, with the message: "Received my copy of #41 by #43, George W. Bush. Touching tribute! #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnTwitter #PresidentialTweeters."
While the senior Bush, to whom the book is dedicated, is on Twitter, Bush Jr. is nowhere to be found... on Twitter that is.
But not one to be outdone, "43" responded perfectly to his predecessor, by taking to Instagram, reposting the tweet with the hashtag #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnInstagram.
Well, played.
It's not the first time a former politician has become embroiled in a comical Twitter war. Just before Halloween, Madeleine Albright responded hilariously to funnyman Conan O'Brien's costume idea, in this exchange.
Just a reminder that you should never ever have a war of words with a politician.
