Busy Philipps isn't one of those actresses who cares what people say about her, but she does find it strange that celebrity pregnancies are highly publicized.

"Like most things in this business, I think that you have to do what’s right for you and you can’t be too concerned about what some magazine is going to write about you," Philipps told HuffPost Celebrity. "We’re in a business where a lot of people are blessed with pretty incredible bodies, that they work hard for or comes naturally, and not everybody has the same body."

Philipps admits that it took her almost a year to drop all the pregnancy pounds she gained while carrying her now 4-year-old daughter, Birdie -- but she didn't mind.

"I find it to be strange that people get obsessed about how fast actresses and celebrities are taking off their baby weight," the 33-year-old actress explained. "I guess people like to look to them and feel better about themselves or feel worse about themselves."

Still, she's not interested in making anyone feel better ... except maybe herself.

"It’s interesting when people make comments about celebrities' weight gain or lack of weight gain as if they're a medical professional that’s treating that celebrity. Like, ‘This doctor does not treat Jessica Simpson, but thinks her weight is unhealthy.’ If you don’t treat her, then how do you know?" Busy said, adding, "I do think moms should be given a break, all across the board. And I think that the most important thing is that you’re healthy. After I had my little girl, I wanted to be healthy for her and have a healthy body image so that she hopefully grows up to see that her self worth isn’t defined by how thin she is."

As for how she's feeling her second time around, the mom-to-be is simply enjoying those special maternity moments.

"I feel good!" Philipps gushed. "I’m kind of lucky that we’ve finished shooting "Cougar Town," so I’m able to kind of just enjoy my pregnancy and be a stay-at-home mom and go to prenatal Pilates and do all that fun stuff that, if I were working, would be almost impossible to do."

"We’re thrilled. And my daughter is very excited to be a big sister and it’s actually something that she has asked for, for quite some time," Philipps added of baby number two. "My husband and I were on the fence about whether or not we were going to add to our family, but now that we’re on our road, we’re really excited."
