The butter vs. margarine debate is a confusing one. Which spread is healthier?

Butter is made from milk or cream. That's really it. Some consumers are concerned about its high levels of saturated fat, and this concern brought margarine to the dairy aisle. Margarine's make-up is a bit more complicated. Vegetable oil tends to be the main ingredient, but each margarine brand differs, and some are way healthier than others.
