'Call Me, Maybe' Wedding: Indian-Pakistani Wedding Pays Tribute To Carly Rae Jepsen Song (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Hilarious Way 'Call Me Maybe' Took Over One Wedding

Will the infectious summer hit “Call Me Maybe” become the new "it" song of viral wedding videos?

If the Indian wedding video (above), made by HuffPost blogger Sarah Khan and her friend Asma Sethi, is any indication, the answer is yes.

Khan and Sethi got the idea to pay tribute to the Carly Rae Jepsen song during their flight from New York City to St. Louis, where they were travelling to see their friends Sana Ahmed and Mohsin Memon get married on June 15. “We were talking about the ‘Call Me Maybe’ video trend and I half-jokingly said we should make a video of our own that weekend, thinking we could just film those of us girls who were sharing a room -- nothing major,” Khan told HuffPost. “But Asma is really into making videos, so she had more ambitious plans.”

Throughout the wedding, the idea took on a life of its own, Khan said. “We started filming all of our friends and got the bride and groom in on it, as well as the imam [who led the marriage service],” she said. “We had a blast. One of the highlights was getting the groom's dad to do his version of ‘Call Me’ at the end.”

In the video, wedding guests (and members of the wedding party) lip-sync to Jepsen's song while preparing for the wedding and enjoying the reception.

In addition to orchestrating and shooting the video, Khan and Sethi made cameos of their own. “In the car scenes, Asma's the one in the blue, driving, and I'm in the backseat with an orange T-shirt,” Khan said.

Sethi and Khan posted their video to YouTube on June 24. “Friends and family have been loving it,” Khan said. “The bride and groom even watched it on their honeymoon in St. Lucia.”
