Campaign AdWatch: McCain Has Had Enough Of Something, He Thinks

What exactly has McCain had "enough" of? The sorts of deregulation that he and his cronies have championed for many, many years, that propelled this current crisis?

"Enough is enough!" proclaims John McCain, in his new ad, titled "Enough is Enough." But what exactly has McCain had "enough" of? The sorts of deregulation that he and his cronies have championed for many, many years, that propelled this current crisis? The lack of 9/11 Commission-style working groups, producing documents full of ideas that no one will end up implementing anyway? The sorts of venal campaigning that concerns itself with day-long, disingenuous discussions of "lipstick on a pig" even as the financial markets begin their horrific death spirals? What happens if the government bails out AIG, or the automotive industry? Will he recut the ad to read, "Okay, after one or four more bailouts, it will be enough, for real this time?"

John McCain doesn't know and John McCain isn't saying. Instead, we get a return to the heady days of his magical voyages to the year 2013, where his announced plan for America involved a) him getting elected President, after which b) some stuff will happen, leading to c) all of America's problems being solved. Anyway, enough of something is enough of something, you nation of whiners!
