Introducing HuffPost's Fall 2015 Campus Editors-At-Large

Hundreds of applications and interviews later, we are extremely proud to announce our newest campus editors-at-large for the fall 2015 term. We're looking forward to expanding our program on these campuses across the country and to see all the wonderful talent our newest editors find.

Logan Brown, Vanderbilt University

Logan is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University where she is majoring in economics and human organization and development. On campus, Logan volunteers in the Nashville community and is in just about every political club around. She eventually hopes to become a federal prosecutor. Clarissa Buch, University of Miami

Clarissa is a sophomore at the University of Miami, studying journalism and German. She freelances for publications across South Florida, including the Miami New Times, the Miami Herald and others, and runs a happiness and motivation blog. Sydney Jean Gottfried, Georgetown University

Sydney Jean is a student at Georgetown University, studying government, economics and English. Ever-hoping to be considered a Washingtonian, she has worked as an intern for NBC's "Meet the Press" and as an editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. Sydney Jean enjoys writing about women's issues for the Georgetown University Women in Leadership Blog and about culture for Georgetown's lifestyle magazine, Hilltop Vogue. Following a summer down under, working as a government relations intern at the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, Sydney Jean is excited to return to American politics... and Georgetown Cupcakes.

Riley Griffin, Duke University

Riley is a sophomore at Duke University interested in journalism, politics and literature. As a former intern of The Huffington Post, Riley has spent time investigating and reporting on higher education and mental health. Captivated by the publishing industry, Riley has edited manuscripts for Pulitzer Prize winning author Jon Meacham, and NYT bestselling author Jenny Han. Above all else, Riley dreams of visiting each of Ernest Hemingway’s residencies and going on tour with Bruce Springsteen. During the academic year, she acts as the Chief Marketing Officer for Campus Enterprises, LLC.

Jamari Jordan, University of Georgia

Jamari is a senior student at the University of Georgia majoring in Mass Media Arts and pursuing a Sports Media Certificate. He is from Stone Mountain, Georgia and founded his organization on campus called ELITE aimed at fostering the growth of writers. In his free time, he partakes in anything Shonda Rhimes-related, loves Beyonce, and believes Kanye West is a musical genius.

Jamari Jordan

Alex Leininger, University of Missouri

Alex is a senior at the University of Missouri studying journalism, and was born and raised in the Kansas suburbs of Kansas City (a distinction that matters, believe it or not). On campus, he contributes to the Columbia Missourian and its magazine insert and takes Alternative Breaks trips with other students during excessively long winter holidays. Despite being a stereotypical Midwesterner, Alex hopes to leave flyover country after graduation to work in a big city. He is probably daydreaming and making himself laugh right now.

Caroline Liu, Wesleyan University

Caroline is a sophomore at Wesleyan University with a whole lot of love for the Internet. Her majors are Computer Science and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, which means she's a fan of 1) the STEM fields and 2) those underrepresented within them. Caroline generally has a lot of feelings about feminism, tech, and food, and her writing has been featured in publications such as HelloFlo, Spoon University, bSmart Guide, and The Prospect. Conner Lund, University of California, Los Angeles

Conner is a sophomore studying economics at University of California, Los Angeles. He is a reporter for SportTechie, writing about new advances in sports technology. Amara Majeed, Brown University

Amara is an 18-year-old Muslim-American activist and feminist. She is the author of The Foreigners, a book written in an attempt to eradicate stereotypes about Muslims. At 16, she founded "The Hijab Project," a global initiative that promotes the understanding and empowerment of Muslim women through social experimentation. In an effort to empower Muslim women and get them more involved in business and politics, she created a network of English-speaking Americans to teach the English language to Muslim girls from around the world. She has shared her opinions through media outlets such as CNN, The Huffington Post, and Bustle, covering her perspectives on major events such as September 11th and the terrorist attacks on France. She was recently named by Business Insider as one of the twenty most impressive high school students graduating in 2015.

Amara Majeed

Anahita Pardiwalla, The University of Texas at Austin

Anahita is a student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in journalism with an interdisciplinary certificate in human rights and social justice. She has interned at KLRU-TV Austin, PBS affiliate, working with the public affairs department, and was the Digital and Audience Engagement intern for the New England Center for Investigative Reporting in Boston. As a senior at UT, she is the Digital intern for the journalism school and a choreographer for Jazba, UT’s newest Bollywood-fusion dance team. Miranda Richard, Boston College

Miranda is a junior at Boston College, where she studies sociology and communication. She grew up in southern Connecticut and spent most of her childhood under the impression that every town had its own beach. She is the current digital editor of the Gavel, a progressive online student publication at BC. She spent her summer eating free food and writing about it for Providence Monthly magazine. In her free time, she enjoys boring her friends with bad puns and fun facts and yelling at the TV during Jeopardy. Catch her in 140 characters @MirandaMRichard.

Rigel Robinson, University of California, Berkeley

Rigel is a second-year at UC Berkeley, where he is the current Vice President of Membership for Cal Berkeley Democrats, works in the Associated Students of the University of California Office of External Affairs, competes for Cal Fencing, and is a member of the Mixed Student Union. Though he grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, he has realized that being by the ocean is just better. He occasionally protests things. Annie Schugart, Harvard University

Annie is a sophomore at Harvard, where she enjoys writing, photographing, and videographing for the Harvard Crimson newspaper and serving as an editor for Harvard's leadership magazine, Rise. Last summer, Annie served as a multimedia intern for the Kansas City Star, and she was previously named the International Student Journalist of the Year by Youth Journalism International. Some of her interests include climate change activism, raising money/awareness for Boston Children's hospital with the Harvard College Dance Marathon, dance, flute, and growing the National Teen Council that she started a few years ago. Additionally, Annie is a proud member of the Harvard Cheerleading team. A few of her favorite things include napping, pineapple, tie-dye, and sarcasm. Andrea Vale, University of Notre Dame

A native of Massachusetts, Andrea Vale is a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame intending to major in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy. She is a frequent blogger for both The Huffington Post and USA Today College as well as a news reporter and staff member for The Observer and a culture and humor writer for Scholastic magazine. She is particularly passionate about mental health advocacy and reform, as well as the study of Transcendentalist literature.
