Cancer Patient Heather Taylor Weds Boyfriend In Hospital Ceremony

It wasn't your traditional ceremony: The wedding dress was replaced by a simple tank top, and the bride came down the aisle in a wheelchair. But 26-year-old Heather Taylor's hastily-planned wedding was more poignant and meaningful than most others.

According to a CNN report, a year ago, at the age of 25, Taylor was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, she's also battling brain tumor. But Taylor's boyfriend -- and now husband -- Jimmy New wasn't about to let an illness get the better of him. With Taylor still in the ICU at St. Anthony Hospital in Colorado, he got down on one knee -- and proposed!

"There's no one I'd rather spend the rest of my life with than the woman sitting right here," New told reporters.

Soon after, Taylor and New tied the knot at the hospital chapel -- with balloons tied to her wheelchair and her 9-year-old son handing her the bouquet of flowers.
