When Candy Crowley takes the stage October 16 to moderate a presidential debate, she will be the first woman in over 20 years to do so. Crowley, a political correspondant at CNN and host of the cable news network's Sunday morning talk show "State of the Union," is already attracting criticism from both political campaigns for her stated intent to take a more active role in the town hall-style debate than the moderator traditionally does.
