Cape Town Residence Designed by SAOTA Is A Breathtaking Vision (PHOTOS)

Well, we're on our way to Cape Town.

We've found a new home worthy of our daydreams.

Feast your eyes on this Cape Town residence by SAOTA, (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) an award-winning architecture firm based in this South African city. According to their site, their team of ninety has worked on quite a number of homes both locally and internationally, like this deluxe mansion in Miami, a sophisticated glass house in Geneva and this resort-like home in Phuket, just to name a few.

But instead of looking overseas, we're focusing on the house on Head Road 1843. A hillside residence atop the slopes of Cape Town's Signal Hill, its geographic location allows for breathtaking views overlooking the Atlantic. But what strikes our interest most is its unique design, which is exemplary of the firm's cutting-edge aesthetic.

The shape of each room is consistent with the structure's overall sharp and angular geometry, a characteristic that's strikingly offset by the interior's plush furniture and warm color choices -- which were chosen by Antoni Associates Interiors. Traces of the exterior facade's ultra-contemporary feel are mimicked by the sliding panels that open to the surrounding landscape and the stunning infinity pool. All we can say is: WOW!

To learn more about the firm, head on over to their website. And for photos of SAOTA's offices, our friends at DesignBoom had the recent good luck of touring their studio in Cape Town.
