The Huffington Post Is Hiring An Investigative Reporter

We are seeking a reporter with a track record of writing hard-hitting stories to join our projects and investigations team. 

This is a multi-faceted role for someone with a deeply geeky interest in corporate filings, court documents and other public records -- and also great storytelling. We are looking for someone who can snoop about in the cobwebbed corners of the Internet to advance a breaking news story on one day, and interview sources for a long-term investigation the next. 

Reporters who have demonstrated ownership of a beat, who can write with authority and who have a passion for accountability/impact journalism are encouraged to apply. Basic data reporting skills are a must, so is proven ability to write clean, compelling copy. 

At least three years relevant experience required. We are looking for someone with strong story ideas comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment. 


  • Use public records, online research tools and traditional reporting techniques to advance national news stories
  • Contribute to the work of the award-winning New York-based projects and investigations team
  • Think visually, help conceive ambitious public interest journalism to an increasingly mobile-first audience
  • Report and write original stories
