Carey Mulligan's Cannes Dress Channels A Major Gwyneth Paltrow Look (PHOTOS, POLL)

PHOTOS: Was Carey Mulligan Inspired By Gwyneth Paltrow?

Carey Mulligan finally made her Cannes debut at "The Great Gatsby" premiere on Wednesday, and she gave us major déjà vu. The star wore a sleek, pale pink satin Dior Couture gown paired with Tiffany jewelry and striking bold red lips.

Her look immediately evoked memories of Gwyneth Paltrow's legendary Ralph Lauren gown from the 1999 Oscars. It was equally muted and slick with a similar silhouette and blush color tone. We can't blame Mulligan if she really did look to the style icon for inspiration -- after all, Paltrow knows how to turn heads on the red carpet. And she's already had plenty of copycats.

Unlike Paltrow, Mulligan wore her hair sleek and long, which has us wondering why she's been hiding it during her "Gatsby" press tour these past few weeks.

Who do you think rocked the simple gown better? Vote to decide the winner!
