Carly Rae Jepsen And Justin Bieber On 'The Ellen Show': Bieber Previews 'Boyfriend' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Carly Rae Jepsen Explains How Justin Bieber Changed Her Life

Here at HuffPost Celebrity, we are obsessed with Carly Rae Jepsen's song "Call Me Maybe." Obsessed may even be an understatement, since we've been listening to it on repeat. That's why we were so excited to see Jepsen make her U.S. TV debut on "The Ellen Show" on Friday.

Jepsen, 26, was accompanied by none other than teen mega-popstar Justin Bieber, whom she has to thank for launching her super, catchy pop song to the top of the iTunes charts. Bieber was listening to the radio when he was back home in Canada for the holidays and was immediately addicted to Jepsen's song.

After discovering that Jepsen was signed to Canada's 604 Records (Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger's label), Bieber was poised to make her a star in the U.S and the rest of the world, and signed her to his manager Scooter Braun's label Schoolboy Records.

Jepsen, who made it to the top three on the fifth season of "Canadian Idol" and won a Canadian Radio Music Award for her song "Tug of War," told Ellen DeGeneres, "I had never branched outside of Canada and had no idea how to do that and then one miraculous day, Justin called."

Jepsen said the call changed her life. "At the time, I was touring in Canada in a soccer mom van with my band, and it seemed too good to be true," she revealed.

With Bieber's backing and a video of him, his girlfriend Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and the guys from the band/TV show Big Time Rush lip-synching "Call Me Maybe", Jepsen's song went viral and is fast becoming the next big thing in pop music.

Bieber fans eager for the 18-year-old's new material also got their wish. Justin previewed 15 seconds of his new song "Boyfriend," which drops on Monday, and we have to say it sounded really catchy.
