Carmelo Anthony Randomly Ran A Mini-Marathon Mid-Game

Not one, not two, not three steps ...

According to the NBA rulebook, a player “may use a two-count rhythm in coming to a stop” after picking up his dribble.

We're not sure how quickly Carmelo Anthony says his Mississippi's, but he seems to have traveled pretty egregiously on this three-point hoist in Monday's Knicks-Heat game. By our count, he took at least six steps after picking up his dribble. How the referees managed to miss multiple travel violations on a single shot attempt is unclear -- it’s also unclear whether Anthony was trying to take enough steps to walk back to New York on the play, or whether he was simply trying to reach the team bus in the arena’s parking lot.

Either way, Anthony’s Knicks ended up losing. Badly.
