Carol Price, Woman Accused Of Groping TSA Agent, Faces Charge, Hires Attorney

Carol Jean Price was on her way from Florida to Ohio to attend a funeral in April when she was arrested after allegedly groping a TSA agent, reports WINK-TV.

Price underwent a pat down at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Florida, when she became upset about the procedure. She asked to speak with a supervisor, and, as video footage shows, proceeded to reach "down to demonstrate and grabbed the leg of the agent and crotch area as she claimed had happened to her," as other TSA agents told WINK.

At the time of the arrest, Price's husband told the station that "there's much more to this story" and that the couple will talk after they seek legal advice. Now, that attorney is speaking.

"It was a customer complaint of an extremely inappropriate search," Price's defense attorney John Mills told NBC 2 in Fort Myers. "She did not touch the supervisor as intrusively as she was touched."

Mills claims that Price had her breasts touched during the pat down and believes the act was personal because Price was once a TSA agent at this airport. She apparently got along with some -- but not all -- of the other agents.

Price now faces a misdemeanor battery charge, NBC 2 reports. She has pleaded not guilty.

This isn't the first time a passenger has been accused of groping a TSA agent. In July 2011, a 61-year-old woman was accused of grabbing the left breast of an agent in Phoenix. In April, a man at Portland International Airport protested the TSA in his own way -- by stripping naked and trying to pass through security.
