WHAT: Generations - New paintings by Carole Bayer Sager
WHEN: January 14 - February 12. There is no public opening for this show
WHERE: LA Art House
8825 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048
WHY: Artist and Oscar and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Carole Bayer Sager returns to her love of abstract work with her newest series of paintings Generations: New Paintings by Carole Bayer Sager .
"Painting and songwriting have many similarities for me," says Sager. "Both are intuitive and expressive and, just as in songwriting, it is rewarding when your painting touches another person."
Sager's latest collection came about after seeing one of her paintings through the camera's lens and wanting to expand on the most intricate details in the piece. Magnifying these intricate selections, sometimes to 100 times their normal size, allowed her to explore and capture beautiful details that would have been barely noticed by the human eye and turn them into their own exquisite, full-sized pieces.
