Married life seems to be treating Carrie Underwood well.
The country songstress opened up about her two-year marriage to NHL player Mike Fisher on the red carpet at the Academy Of Country Music Awards on Sunday.
According to Underwood, the first year of marriage wasn't as hard as she had thought it would be.
"Everybody's like, 'The first year is the hardest" -- and I'm like, 'That's it? That was the hardest? Come on, you can do better than that!'" she told "Extra." She added, "It's great; he's wonderful."
Underwood and Fisher became engaged in December 2009, after dating for about a year. The pair tied the knot in July 2010 at the Ritz Carlton in Greensboro, Georgia. According to Underwood, they have no plans for children in the near future.
