Make Your Own In-Flight Cocktails With This Carry-On Kit

Here's How To Drink When Flying Coach During The Holidays

We've made it around the sun again, and it's that time of year to give thanks for all the wonderful people and things in our lives.

It's also the time of year we clamber onto an airplane full of Uncle Bucks, Aunt Tinas and their squirrelly, bouncing, lovely toddlers.

But it's going to be OK. Despite the fact that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is officially The Worst Day Ever To Travel On A Plane, we now have the perfect pocket therapy: the Carry-On Cocktail Kit, fully-equipped with everything you need to make two Mad Men-era Old Fashioneds right in your very seat (except for booze and ice -- which, due to the law, you have to order from the flight attendant).

Included in the kit, which is brought to you by the smart folks behind the Brooklyn-based cocktail website Punch and the product designers at W&P Design, are two packets of demerara sugar, a tiny bottle of aromatic bitters, a spoon that doubles as a muddler, a recipe card, and even a linen coaster.

If an old fashioned isn't your thing, you can also try this kit from designer Stephen Kenn that comes with little bottles and shows you how to make up to 15 different cocktails.

Either way, you can now pull that tray table down and tend it like the bar you wish it was.
