The Case Against George Zimmerman In Under 3 Minutes

The case against George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watchman currently facing second-degree murder charges after fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teen, is nearing its end.

Today, Judge Debra Nelson, who is presiding over the trial, ruled that the jury could consider less-serious manslaughter charges and could not consider third-degree murder charges. With that last bit of legalese out of the way, Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda began the state's closing statements.

The prosecution's case, as presented in closing, can be split up into three parts. First - according to the state - George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin. Next, George Zimmerman chased Trayvon Martin, provoking an altercation. And finally, George Zimmerman lied to police officers and others when questioned about the incident.

The Huffington Post put together the above mashup video outlining the key moments in the prosecution's closing. Tomorrow, we will do the same for the defense.

Check out the video above and let us know if you think the prosecution will be successful in convincing the jury to convict.
