"Caskett" fans were probably gritting their teeth throughout this episode of "Castle." It wasn't even so much that a billionaire philanthropist was clearly using his best moves to try and woo Beckett -- moves that Castle himself had used in earlier seasons; it was that the couple just isn't on the same page at all, and they're breaking the No. 1 rule of successful relationships: They're not communicating openly and honestly.
Beckett needs to know where this relationship is going and what this relationship really means to Castle, but he doesn't open up, so he tries to deflect these issues with things like romantic massages. Only, they're not going to work so well after a billionaire playboy left Beckett wondering why she and Castle aren't clear on their relationship.
Buddy TV couldn't believe Castle was so dense. "That's NOT what she was asking," they said. "Castle missed the whole point of the episode, because it's not about Beckett needing more physical attention, it's about her needing a commitment. It's actually quite simple: She wants to DTR (define the relationship)."
Could this be the beginning of the end for the couple? "Beckett is refusing to face her fears about the relationship, while Castle continues to keep himself hidden under layers of jokes and outward passion," Zap2It observed. "This could all become a big problem."
