WATCH: Cat Stuck On Top Of Cactus

We love checking out nice views as much as the next person, but there has to be a better place to do it than on top of a giant cactus.

Whether by accident or out of the famous feline curiosity, this kitty decided to give it a shot. According to Fox 9 News, the black cat had been stuck on top of a massive cactus for at least two days by the Salt River in Arizona.

As people plotted rescue efforts, KNXV's helicopter flew overhead and the cat decided he had had enough, frantically scaling down the side of the prickly plant all the way to safety.

This isn't the first time a cat has gotten stuck in an unexpected place. Last month, one kitty parked itself on top of a traffic light, and proceeded to observe the cars and people below.

A cat in Ohio recently was stuck in the dashboard of a car, and a mechanic was needed for the three hour rescue operation.

Other cats are just plain loyal -- one cat in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, even waits for his owner on the train platform everyday when she gets back from work.

"He always seems to know which train carriage I am on and will be sitting there behind the yellow line when the doors open, because he is all about safety," owner Nicole Weinrich told the Sun. "... He's one of a kind."

There are many abandoned and homeless cats in the U.S. Check out the ASPCA website or Petfinder.com to help a cat in need of a home.
