Jim Carrey's on-again, off-again girlfriend, Cathriona White, was found dead in her home in Los Angeles on Monday night, according to TMZ.
The 30-year-old's exact cause of death has yet to released at this time, however a rep for the Los Angeles Police department told The Huffington Post they don't comment on suicide investigations.
A rep for the LA Coroner's Office told HuffPost pills were found at the scene, as was a note. While White's age was reported as 28 by some publications, the coroner's office confirmed her age as 30.
White and Carrey first dated in 2012 before breaking things off and later reconciled in May 2015. According to TMZ, the couple called it quits once again last week.
In a statement to HuffPost via his rep, Carrey said he was "shocked and deeply saddened" by White's death, calling her "my sweet Cathriona."
"She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled," Carrey said.
He added, "My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
