This Ice Cave Proposal Is Hauntingly Beautiful

When Katherine Loveless' boyfriend took her to an ice cave in Iceland recently, she got more than an adventure; she got a husband-to-be.

Rúrik Karl Björnsson got down on a knee and proposed amid one of the more mysterious and gorgeous engagement settings we've ever seen.

Luckily, both Loveless and Björnsson are photographers, explained Loveless (aka VolcanosMeltMeDown) on an Imgur pictorial, so the moments come through in breathtaking clarity.

On Facebook, Loveless said she thought her beau would pop the question in the states. Little did she know, her family was already in on the cave surprise.

According to a blog entry, Loveless spent about a year in Iceland in part to work on a coffee table photojournal called "A Year In Fire And Ice."

Well, now she has another story to tell.

"It was a COMPLETE surprise and the best day of my life!" she wrote on Imgur.
