Celine Dion and her husband/longtime manager René Angélil were married for 21 years before he died in 2016.

On Jan. 14, 2016, Celine Dion’s world was turned upside down when her husband and manager René Angélil died of throat cancer at age 73.

Now, on the one-year anniversary of his death, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer is honoring her late husband’s life with a touching video tribute on Facebook.

“Today, January 14th, it’s been a year since René left us. He will always be in our hearts,” a post accompanying the video read.

Dion and Angélil, who tied the knot in 1994, were married for 21 years and had three children together ― a 15-year-old son and 6-year-old twin boys ― before his passing. The video features moments from throughout Angélil’s childhood, his music career, his marriage to Dion and his life as a father. (He also had three adult children from his two previous marriages.)

In a July 2016 appearance on the “Today” show, Dion told host Kathie Lee Gifford about how she and the kids were coping in the wake of the devastating loss.

“I look at my children and I see him through their eyes. I tell them that dad is not gone. He lives within us. He’s in our heart,” she said.

As Dion was preparing for her first Christmas as a single parent, she opened up to Page Six about finding the strength to move forward, even during the darkest of times.

“I cannot just live on like, ‘I lost my husband, my children have no father,’” she said. “I have to stand tall and strong because this is my way of living: Stand tall, be positive, pick your battles, do the best you can and to live for today, not for tomorrow, for today, and know nothing is perfect, not everything you want will happen.”
