Chaka Khan 'Chakalates' Chocolate, 'Khana Sutra' Candle Line Set To Launch During Grammy Weekend

Chaka Has A 'Sweet Thing' For New Business Ventures

In celebration of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards and Valentine’s Day, Chaka Khan is set to debut her exclusive line of chocolates, Chakalates, and Khana Sutra candles this weekend at the Grammy Gift Lounge in Los Angeles.

For the gourmet treats the 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer added her signature recipe of antioxidant-rich dark chocolate, with velvety bass notes, while adding a nature inspired fragrance of pine mixed with natural soy wax for her candles.

In addition to donating a portion of the proceeds to her Chaka Khan Foundation, the international icon, who recently lost 75 pounds after combating Type-2 Diabetes, also noted in a press release that her decision to use dark chocolate was due to its ability to help lower blood pressure, and help control blood sugar.

"My Chakalates are so delicious,” she added in a quote provided to The Huffington Post. “The response has been fantastic. My gourmet chocolates are a perfect treat for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and any other time of the year."

The Chakalates, and Khana Sutra candles are just two of the many projects that Khan is releasing this year to commemorate her 40th anniversary in the entertainment industry. On March 19 the funk/R&B powerhouse will release her latest opus, “The iKhan Project: Commemorative Limited Edition,” featuring her new single “It’s Not Over.”

Chakalates and Khana Sutra candles are now available online through Chaka Khan’s official site.
