Feel for Chaka Khan. The acclaimed singer has been forced to cancel four upcoming concerts and delay her album because of exhausted vocal cords. Chaka Khan Enterprises announced the disappointing news on Thursday via press release.

“Due to her doctor's orders, it's best that we move the date to give her the proper and adequate time to promote and market the new album," Tammy McCrary, Khan's manager, said in a statement. “We are looking forward to a great project and a very robust concert and tour schedule this fall."

Khan's album, "The iKhan Project," is now set for release in the fall. Per the press release, the 60-year-old singer was forced to cancel her June appearances in Columbia, MD (June 8), Pittsburgh, Penn. (June 9), Columbus, OH (June 14) and Toronto, Canada (June 18 and 19).

One event Khan won't miss despite the required vocal rest is at the Apollo Spring Gala in New York on June 10. Khan is being inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame that night; Erykah Badu is expected to present Khan with the honor.
