Charlie Crist Interrupts Lt. Gov. Bashing Him To Reporters

Charlie Crist Shows Lt. Gov. Who's Boss

Former governor and gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist spoke Tuesday to the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches about his plans to defeat current Governor Rick Scott (R-Fla.).

Scott's team sent Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera to respond to the media. While Lopez-Cantera was bashing the former governor to the press, things got catty. Crist swooped in and shook his hand.

The conversation was noticeably awkward, as Crist coyly said to Lopez-Cantera, "Good to see you."

"Hey," replied Lopez-Cantera.

Crist asked Lopez-Cantera, "How are you?" to which he replied, "Doing well."

Just before walking away, Crist said, "Say hi to your family for me."

A reporter then called Crist back to comment on Lopez-Cantera's earlier statement.

"He's just gonna get to debate the lieutenant governor candidate. Give me Scott," Crist said.
