Charlie Sheen: 'Lindsay Lohan Needs A Mentor, Whether She Wants One Or Not'

Charlie Sheen Admits He's Lindsay Lohan's 'Mentor'

Charlie Sheen is speaking out about his close relationship with Lindsay Lohan, saying there's nothing romantic going on between the two -- he's just trying to help her.

In an exclusive statement to TMZ, Sheen admits his past experiences make him the perfect mentor for Lohan, who has candidly battled legal problems, jail time and substance abuse over the last few years.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lohan] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," the 47-year-old actor tells TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

"If she listens, she'll win," he adds, "If she doesn't, that's on her."

Sheen has already tried to help the troubled 26-year-old, lending her $100,000 to pay off her tax debt after they bonded on the set of "Scary Movie 5." Lohan is even appearing in an upcoming episode of "Anger Management."

But is there something else going on here? Sheen says absolutely not.

"I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film," he tells TMZ. "How ya like me now, America?"
