Charlie Sheen Would Like To Appear On The 'Two And A Half Men' Series Finale (VIDEO)

Charlie Sheen Wants To Return To 'Two And A Half Men'

Charlie Sheen dropped by "Late Show" to chat about the second season of his FX series "Anger Management," but David Letterman just had to ask about his previous show, "Two and a Half Men." Sheen's character Charlie Harper was written out of that show after his meltdown, and he's been replaced by Ashton Kutcher in a new role, but Letterman wanted to know if Sheen would ever return.

"I would like to go back," Sheen admitted. "I would like to appear on their final episode."

When Letterman pointed out that Sheen's character had been killed off the show -- Kathy Bates even won an Emmy for playing the spirit version of him -- Sheen had a quick response. "I am dead, but so is the show," he quipped. "Wow! Wow!"

Those kinds of digs might hurt his chances of getting invited back, although current star Angus T. Jones has been invited back on the show after his own disparaging comments against it. CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler has even said they want him back for a possible Season 11.

Fans of Charlie Sheen still have 90 more episodes of "Anger Management" to enjoy. The next batch kicks off with two episodes on Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on FX before settling in the next week to its usual 9:30 p.m. EST time. "Late Show with David Letterman" airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
