Several months after Charlie Trotter's sudden death shocked the culinary world, the famed chef's mini-mansion in Chicago is up for sale.
The five-bedroom 5,200-square-foot home hit the market Monday with a $2.695 million price tag, according to the Koenig & Strey listing.

The 12-year-old home has a range of tasteful luxuries, including a third-floor "conservatory" with a roof deck and skyline views, an entertainment theater and no shortage of master suite closets and fireplaces (five of each).
Unsurprisingly, Trotter's home also comes with a wine cellar, a "gourmet" kitchen and a pizza oven on the deck above the 2.5-car garage.
Trotter and his wife, Rochelle, bought the home in the upscale Lincoln Park neighborhood back in 2007 for a few hundred thousand dollars less than the current listing price, the Tribune reports.
Rochelle Trotter told DNAinfo Chicago she had not been living in the home recently. Trotter said there was no need for such a big place and that being in the neighborhood -- and nearby the chef's now-shuttered eponymous restaurant -- is still a "very raw" experience for her.
Charlie Trotter, who died in November after suffering a stroke, closed his world-renowned restaurant in 2012. His namesake restaurant on West Armitage Avenue is also on the market and remains unsold.
