WATCH: Charlize Theron Talks Adoption On 'Ellen'

Charlize Theron has had a whirlwind couple of months recently. She's been promoting two very high-profile movies -- "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "Prometheus" -- all while juggling a new baby at home. The actress stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week to talk about her adjustment to life as a new mom to baby Jackson.

"It took me a while. The process, it took around two years. My mom said the most beautiful thing -- I’m going to cry. She said, you know, it took me nine months to fall in love with you while you were growing in my stomach. She’s like, it took you two years to fall in love with this little baby. It took two years of just waiting, and then one day, it’s finally there. It just feels exactly how it’s supposed to feel. I don’t know how to describe it. It just feels right.”

Though few details were released when Theron's rep announced in March she had adopted a baby, the actress told DeGeneres that Jackson was born in America and came home when he was nine days old.
