Photos Show Tense Scenes At Charlotte Protests After Police Shooting

Another night of protests rocked Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday after police shot and killed 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott the day before. Photos show protesters blocking traffic on Interstate 85 and also damaging nearby business premises in downtown Charlotte.

The confrontations grew so violent that North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory (R) declared a state of emergency and sent in the National Guard to restore order.
