'Charmed' Reboot In The Works At CBS

'Charmed' Reboot In The Works

A "Charmed" reboot is in the works, according to Vulture. However, the project isn't at the youth-skewing CW, Vulture reports CBS is behind the potential Power of Three reboot.

"Party of Five" co-creator Chris Keyser and Sydney Sidner are co-writing the project, which is being called a "re-imagining" of The WB series. Right now just a script has been ordered, nothing more.

"Charmed" ran for eight seasons between 1998–2006 on The WB. The series starred Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, and Shannen Doherty. The series followed three sisters, the Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches of their time.

CBS has had success in rebooting properties with "Hawaii Five-0" now in its fourth season. Other recent reboots of past hits include "Prime Suspect" and "Ironside." Both were canceled by NBC, which also has "Murder, She Wrote" in the works starring Octavia Spencer.
