Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, announced Monday that she is expecting her second child.
She broke the news on Twitter, writing that her daughter Charlotte "is going to be a big sister!"
Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, welcomed Charlotte in September 2014.
Soon after the younger Clinton announced the news, Hillary Clinton responded on Twitter.
The former secretary of state and Democratic presidential front-runner has clearly enjoyed becoming a grandmother and recently joked that when Charlotte begins talking, she can call her "whatever she chooses."
"Grandma’s fine. Madame President’s fine. Whatever she chooses," she told ABC News.
In September, Chelsea noted that both of her parents are very involved in Charlotte's life and that her mom was already asking about more grandchildren.
"She was very public about wanting a grandchild, and it's been such a joy to see her as a grandmother," she said of her mother. "I thought maybe we'd have a little bit more time but she already talks about wanting more grandchildren."
Looks like she got her wish. Congratulations to the whole family!
