Chelsea Clinton Wedding: Bill Talks Details With Ryan Seacrest (PHOTOS)

Former president Bill Clinton appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Monday morning, where he discussed Haiti, childhood obesity, and health care.

But naturally the conversation turned to his daughter Chelsea's upcoming nuptials to Marc Mezvinsky, and the father of the bride made it clear that when it comes to planning, he's taking a backseat to Chelsea and wife Hillary.

"I'm just supposed to walk her down the aisle and pay the bills," he said, reporting that Chelsea and her mother "are having a good time doing it."

Earlier this month, the secretary of state told Candy Crowley that she and Chelsea are still looking for wedding dresses.

"I must say I am very happy," Bill Clinton reported. "My daughter is happy. I like and admire my future son-in-law, so I couldn't be happier about it." Mezvinsky's father Ed has a sordid past: after getting caught up in a Nigerian scam, the former Democratic Congressman from Iowa pleaded guilty in 2002 to swindling dozens of investors out of $10 million.

Chelsea and Marc met as teenagers in Washington and both attended Stanford University. They now live in New York, where 31-year-old Marc works at Goldman Sachs and 29-year-old Chelsea is getting her master's degree at Columbia University's School of Public Health.

Asked if he is going to cry at the wedding, President Clinton said "Probably. I always thought being her father was my most important job, so it's a big day for me. [It's] the biggest day in her life, probably, and I'm happy."
