NBC's "Chicago Fire" spinoff has recruited two stars, according to TVLine.

Scott Eastwood and Tania Raymonde have been tapped to play Jim and Nicole, two cops at the Chicago Police Department, which viewers will get their first glimpse of in "Chicago Fire's" May 15 finale.

Introducing the concept for a planned offshoot in a special episode of its predecessor is often employed when networks try to launch spinoffs, as is the case with upcoming "NCIS: Los Angeles" spinoff, "NCIS: Red," and "The Vampire Diaries" backdoor pilot for "The Originals."

For more on the casting, head over to TVLine.

"Chicago Fire" currently airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
