Chicago Public School Students Walk Out Of Class, Protest Funding Cuts

About 300 Chicago Public Schools students walked out of class this morning and headed to the district's headquarters to hold a protest of school funding cuts.

The students circled in front of the building at 125 S. Clark St. chanting slogans and carrying signs. "Education is not a corporation," read one placard. Some handed out fliers that protested cuts to early-childhood education, bilingual programs, sports and after-school programs.
