Blink while watching this terrifying video and you might think this woman had been killed. And the train probably would’ve struck her if two “angels” had not stepped in, authorities believe.

Police dash cam footage that CBS News obtained shows the moment the 89-year-old woman walked onto a New Jersey train track seconds before a train arrived Wednesday.

Good samaritan Jon Mango told ABC News he was in his car when he saw the woman step onto the tracks at Saddle Brook, Bergen County, as the New Jersey Transit commuter train was approaching.

“I saw the train was really coming,” he said. “I sprinted onto the tracks and I pulled her by the arm. She was scared, like I was trying to do something.”

The chilling video shows another good samaritan assisted, and the woman was pulled to safety just in time.

Local police said there were no injuries, but the woman, who has not been publicly identified, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Saddle Book Police Department personally thanked the people who helped, and shared news of the near-tragic event on their Facebook page.

Police Chief Robert Kugler told the Daily Voice the woman must’ve had angels watching over her when the men stepped in to save her Wednesday.

“These two individuals, angels themselves without a doubt, saved her from a near disaster,” he added.
