Chloë Grace Moretz Isn't A Fan Of 'Squads' Like Taylor Swift's

Her goal? Not to turn her group of friends into a squad.

Don't expect to see Chloë Grace Moretz onstage at one of Taylor Swift's concerts anytime soon.

The 18-year-old actress spoke with Nylon magazine for their December/January cover story and was glad to discuss a broad range of topics, from her upcoming sci-fi movie "The 5th Wave" to her political ambitions. But when the conversation led to the concept of the "squad," as popularized by Swift, Moretz couldn't help but roll her eyes. She's not a fan, you see.

"I agree with having a good core group of friends, but the issue I have with squads is it creates exclusivity," Moretz said. "I was never included in those things when I was a kid. I was the weird one that chose to do movies, so now I go out of my way to be nice to people and make them feel included."

And this seems to be more than just a passing thought. Moretz has referred derisively to squads several times recently on Instagram. The actress and four pals once "tried to take a 'Squad' pic" but it went so badly that they committed to never doing it again.

that time we tried to take a "Squad" pic.. Never again. 👿

And then, about a month ago, Moretz visited the New York Islanders' locker room and posted a picture with the caption, "Most people would write '#squadgoals' in this moment." But not her! Because she hates squads!

Moretz raises some fair points, for sure. On the other hand, Jennifer Lawrence, Adele and Emma Stone appear to have recently formed the ultimate power squad, so let's just say we wouldn't let our qualms rule our decision if we were ever asked to join.
