The Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Chocolate Bar

New Creation Upgrades The Chocolate-Covered Strawberry

The French have always been known for their culinary successes. They have long since mastered wine. Their pastry skills are phenomenal. And now, they're breaking some new ground in chocolates -- more specifically, in chocolate-covered strawberries.

Sorry Godiva, but your chocolate-covered strawberries have got nothing on Jean-Charles Rochoux's version. While Godiva's strawberries may make many mouths happy come Valentine's Day, Jean-Charles Rochoux (a Parisian chocolatier) is joining the ranks of new chocolate artisans who are redefining classic confections such as this one.

This chocolate-covered strawberry bar, named the Ephemeral Chocolate Bar, is part of Jean-Charles Rochoux's temporary collection. And given the, well, ephemeral nature of these chocolates, you can't order them online. But if you should happen to find yourself on a trip to Paris, walking through the sixth arrondissement, you should make a stop into this little chocolate boutique. And until then, you can always try to make them at home.
