President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed he’s so tough on Russia that Moscow will be working to elect Democrats in November.
“They definitely don’t want Trump!” he tweeted.
Given that Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged in Helsinki this month that he wanted Trump to win in 2016, many on social media aren’t exactly buying it ― including “Captain America” star Chris Evans.
He tweeted:
Neither did we.

Also, this might be the funniest thing you’ve ever tweeted, Biff. https://t.co/EgF6cnWaOF
Evans wasn’t alone.
Others shared similar sentiments in response to the president’s tweet:
Trump says Russia is going to attack the midterms to support Democrats. Also the Joker loves Batman, Sauron hates rings, and Hannibal Lecter is trying the vegan thing for a while.

This is hilarious. Your best Tweet yet.

Trump is seeding the narrative that when the Republicans lose in a landslide in November, the Democrats will have been aided by the deep state and Russia. The regime has been laying the groundwork for this since the inauguration crowd story-an alternative truth for his believers.

Lol oh this is where we are going with this now???? Yeah ok.

So is Putin still invited? https://t.co/k7FZbjblac
