Chris Hayes stated his opposition to any U.S. military action in Syria on Tuesday.
"I don’t think we should send missiles into Syria," he said, wading deeper into the public debate about what the U.S. should do. "If I was in Congress I’d vote against it and I think it’s a grave mistake that will make a bad situation worse." He proceeded to make his case for why.
Hayes also argued that there are other things the U.S. can do, besides spending millions on a military strike, to help the Syrian people. He suggested offering asylum to Syrian refugees, or giving aid to the UN to deliver supplies to refugee camps.
